THE STRATEGY

EACH DAY

The goal is to have believers in each time zone in the U.S. pray together EVERY DAY at the same time each day for one minute for our country, up through and even after the election.  Everyone can spare one minute a day for God to bless their country.  If you only committed to pray up to the election – you are welcome not to continue.  But we beg you to reconsider.  What may happen in D.C. over the next year or two could change the entire future of the country.   Please join us in praying through February 2025 – even if you can’t pray each and every day and even if you can’t pray at the same time as the rest of us.

9 to 9:01 PM – East Coast Time
8 to 8:01 PM – Central time
7 to 7:01 PM  – Mountain time
6 to 6:01 PM  – Pacific time
5 to 5:01 PM  – Alaska time
2 to 2:01 PM – Hawaiian time
1 to 1:01 PM  – American Samoan Time

You are welcome to pray for up to five minutes each day or more. But the pledge is to pray for at least one minute minimum. If you feel led to pray for more than one minute on certain days, please feel free to continue. But don’t put in extra time one day and skip the next few. Be consistent and pray each day when others are praying, even if it is only for one minute.

If you by accident miss a day, don’t stop, just continue the next day. A TIP: set the alarm clock on your smart phone for the times listed above each day of the week and it will remind you to stop for a minute to pray with many others at the same time.  Or set it for one minute before the appointed time so you can find an appropriate place to pray, then pray for one minute at the appointed time.

ONCE A MONTH

Then you can do an optional fast once a month  for 24 hours (after lunch Saturday till lunch Sunday). And for one hour during that fast to pray concertedly for our country. You can choose any hour that is best for you, but we will list several times that others might be praying if you want to pray at the same time as others.

The fast can be a water only fast for 24 hours, or a juice fast for 24 hours. If you are unsure you can do a 24 hour fast perhaps just fasting for Sunday breakfast and then picking up meals at lunch would be sufficient.

If you are unsure of your health condition you should check with your doctor before fasting. Even if you don’t fast, committing to praying for one hour on those once a month will be enough.

PRAYER AND FAST DAYS

The third Saturday lunch to Sunday lunch each month.

Suggested prayer fasting times:

Saturday 2 – 3 PM; or 3 – 4 PM or 4 – 5 PM    or  Sunday 5-6 AM; or 6-7 AM; or 7-8 AM

But you can choose an hour time that fits your schedule best during the fast.

Obviously we are praying for God to give us the right people in elected offices for the next few years to lead the country to healing. But we are also praying for a nationwide revival (see essay below on revivals)

We will be claiming Bible verses that God gave us to pray for our country and for personal and national humility and repentance before our Creator and Lord Jesus that He might show our nation mercy instead of the judgment we have coming.

We will put up different Bible verses regularly for you to pray during the minute or the once a month fast and prayer.

Please do not pray with arrogance or bitterness or revenge in your heart. “So as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Col. 3:12

Because we want our prayers to be heard and “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6. This may be difficult because many of us feel we personally have been wronged, but as believers we have put aside “anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abuse speech from your mouth.” Col 3:8.

It’s not that God doesn’t know what our requests are before we pray, it is that He is examining our hearts as we pray. (Matthew 6:8; I Chron. 28:9; II Chron 16:9)

We ask you to commit to pray claiming God’s promised, commands, and truths in the Bible for one minute each day at the appointed time every day through the November 2024 election and after the election. If you are willing to pray the pledge you make is between you and God.

We don’t want any donations. We don’t want your email or for you to download an app. We don’t want anyone to bother you. We just want you to pray for our country that is in desperate need of prayer. And you are on an honor system to pray at the appointed time each day. You don’t have to contact us or check in with us.

If because of interruptions you miss a day, don’t quit, just pick up again the next day. But we will know if you are praying, because we will see God answering. Our Hope: maybe we will get 1,000 people praying each day for one minute. Maybe 1,000,000 people, maybe more.  Jesus says that even two or three praying something the Holy Spirit lays on their hearts will change things.  Matthew 18:19-20.

If we are praying earnestly from the heart, we confess our and our nation’s sins, I believe God will hear our united prayers and heal our land and bring a revival. We don’t have to be Super Saints. God uses regular people who have humbled their hearts before Him.
